Easter is just a week away, and we here at Al’s Florist are thrilled to be steeped in the season’s blooms and baskets. The latter are practically synonymous with Easter—along with chocolate bunnies, Peeps and dyed eggs—but we’re inclined to fill them with s or ing plants. The result is an appealingly fresh gift or piece of decor for spring.

There are some classic spring plants that when you introduce them into your home, office or porch, it feels like an instant arrival into the season. One of those is the azalea, a gorgeous pink that blooms for several weeks and is one of the hardiest of the spring crop.
